The 2011 ICCSAA Student Leadership Conference is finally here!

If you are attending with students, here are some last minute tips from Adrienne Barkley Giffin at John A. Logan College:

PACK

• Blanket: Watching a movie on the ball field will be pretty cool (as in wow) and could be pretty cool (as in burrrrr) so please prepare.  BYOB: bring your own blanket!
• Coat or jacket: The forecast as of today shows Friday’s high temperature at 57 degrees and a low of 37 degrees. Most of the outdoor activities will start after the sun sets so it will be a bit chilly.

KNOW WHAT TO WEAR

We’re breaking from ICCSAA Conference tradition.  Because of the space and time we have, there will not be a place (not even a telephone booth!) for students to change from dress clothes into casual clothes like they usually do for the Friday activities.

Please tell your students to BRING ONLY CASUAL CLOTHES.  We’ll transition from dinner and awards to action-packed activities quickly.  Besides, we’ll be at a ball park, so why not embrace the energetic atmosphere and give your dress up clothes a break this weekend?

6:00pm – 7:00pm: Dinner	10:40am – 11:20am: Idea Exchange & Networking
7:00pm – 8:30pm: Awards & Entertainment	10:40am – 12:15pm: ICCSAA Business Meeting (Advisors only)
8:30pm – 10:30: Vendors & Activities	11:30am – 12:15pm: Breakout Sessions
8:30pm – 10:30pm: Snacks	12:15pm: Evaluations and Lunch
9:00pm – 11:00pm: Movie	Depart campus with box lunch
