Student Leader Exchange 9/28/19

McHenry County College invites the Far North and Mid-North ICCSAA Regions to the annual Student Leader Exchange on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

The Exchange will take place on campus located at 8900 US Hwy 14, Crystal Lake, IL 60012 from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each college will contribute $100 towards the cost of food and printing.

Register by September 18th!

All ICCSAA institutions are welcome to attend, even if they are not located in the Far or Mid-North region!

2018 Scholarship Winners

Happy 2019 members and friends!

Late last month, four winners were announced for the 2018 student scholarship. The scholarship was available to students who attended the Fall Student Leadership Conference that took place at Richland Community College in October.

They were Henry Ptack from Moraine Valley Community College, Keyari Page from Richland Community College, Aishat Mohammed from Oakton Community College and John B. “Jack” Timperley from Oakton Community College.

Joliet Junior College invites the Far North and Mid-North ICCSAA Regions to the annual Student Leader Exchange on Saturday, September 29th, 2018.

The Exchange will be hosted on the JJC Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road, Joliet, 60431 from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost to attend is approximately $100 per institution.  JJC will provide continental breakfast items and lunch.

ICCSAA Student Scholarship

To apply for the $250 ICCSAA Scholarship, please follow the directions below.


In order to be eligible, students must:

  • be an Illinois community college student in good standing with your college
  • must have attended the Fall 2017 ICCSAA Leadership Conference.

Previous ICCSAA scholarship winners are not eligible.

Application Process

Please email all materials as attachments (Word or PDF) to Chuck Steele at: and copy your advisor on the email.

The deadline is Monday, November 6, 2017 at 5pm.

Receipt of application will be acknowledged within 48 hours. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

A complete application includes three items:

    Must include (at minimum): Your name, address, phone number, school, major, gpa (freshmen may use a high school gpa), current activities (service & leadership) with which you are involved.
    Name one thing that you learned at the Fall 2017 ICCSAA Leadership Conference, and explain how you will use it on your campus?
    How do you expect being a student leader will impact your life after community college?

Both reflection answers must be a maximum of one page each (approx. 300 words) in 12 pt. Times New Roman font, double-spaced, with 1in. margins. Grammar and spelling will be taken into consideration, as well as the depth and breadth of the answers.

By emailing this information to, you certify the statements in the scholarship application are true and grant ICCSAA permission to use all of the data to determine your eligibility for scholarships awarded and administered by ICCSAA. You also agree that this information may be released to any and all statewide agencies and give ICCSAA permission to use your name and picture for publication, reports, and press releases.
